AIM Mobility Physical Inventory App Saves Time
The AIM Computer Solutions Mobility Physical Inventory App, from AIM Vision ERP’s suite of manufacturing productivity apps, automates physical inventory.
Operators use the AIM mobility physical inventory app with a tablet and scanner replacing error-prone hand-written or manually keyed physical count tags with scanned barcodes. The app improves inventory accuracy and visibility. Moreover, management can analyze inventory data in real time during inventory counts. Users gain real time insights into counts and count variances.
Companies cut down on the time and resources devoted to inventory counts and gain transparency. Users have saved up to 50% of time devoted to physical counts.
How the AIM Mobility Physical Inventory App Works
Starting on the AIM Vision Mobility Apps screen, users select the Inventory icon.
If your inventory is not already bar coded, users can add brightly colored label stock that can be affixed to our product.
It’s easy to configure the scanner to work in lotted and unlotted environments. The scanner identifies material by warehouse code, tag number, serial number, lot number, item number, quantity, and steps. Because the Physical Inventory app is integrated with the AIM Mobility Location Tracking app, it also allows users to identify a location code at the point of performing a physical or cycle inventory count.
Using bar codes and the AIM Mobility Physical Inventory app simplifies inventory entry and greatly reduces errors common to manual inventory processes.
The Physical Inventory app tracks raw, finished and purchased parts. Operators scan the warehouse information from a company supplied list, including the tag number affixed to the product, and the lot number from a serial label, vendor label or traveler tag. The last scan enters the count quantity.
The Physical Inventory app shows the scanned data in real time.
With the app, users perform the count and identify any missing, voided, and unvoided tags.
The app identifies which tags have and haven’t been scanned in real time.
App administrators can update or adjust the value of the physical inventory scanned on the floor prior to downloading it to a spreadsheet.
Throughout the physical count process, users can produce spreadsheets to review and evaluate the physical count.
The Inventory app spreadsheet identifies data in three tabs: detail tab, lot number summary tab, and item number summary tab.
The detail tab identifies every entry by item number, user ID, sequence, lot number, serial number, warehouse number, and other identifiers based on each company’s requirements.
The lot number summary tab identifies every item number by lot number, count quantity, freeze quantity, freeze warehouse, and counted warehouse. The tab shows variance quantities and percentages. The variance quantities identify any miscounts or misplaced items from the physical count, delivering on-the-spot, real-time analysis.
If an item has not been counted, it appears as a negative number.
The item number summary tab consolidates all live details and pivots the data by item number. It shows item number, count quantity, freeze quantity, variance quantity and variance percentages.
The AIM Mobility Physical Inventory app produces the spreadsheet report which conveys complete data transparency into the company’s inventory status.
